Contact Me

Rachel began working for The Reading League in 2022 as a Professional Development Specialist, training teachers online and in-person across the US. She is now the Director of Virtual Coaching, but she continues to train teachers in person for TRL occasionally, too, which means keeping up-to-date with developments in all research-based approaches to reading and writing. Before this, Rachel was a national LETRS trainer, and over the past 30 years, she has worked in state, private, international, and bilingual schools in the US, France, and England. Trained initially as a high school English and Drama teacher, Rachel has taught all ages and stages from Pre-K to 11th grade. As her three grown-up children have all deserted her to go back and study or work in England, Rachel now lives in New Hope, PA, with her husband and two dogs. Although she was born in Manchester, England, Rachel knows nothing about Manchester United, or any soccer team for that matter, which seems to disappoint passport officials greatly.
