Reading Horizons
Reading Horizons is a science-based reading program that supports students K-12 using direct instruction and has technology to help students become proficient readers. The program is based on the Orton-Gillingham principles of breaking down words into sounds in a specific order to help the brain recognize them. We also use a multisensory method and a marking system to help struggling students internalize English sounds, letters, and word patterns. We cover phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, vocabulary, fluency, and get into comprehension to cover all foundational literacy skills needed.
